June 8th

Our visit to the chinese restaurant was good. Danika and I had sweet and shower chicken and white rice. It was good, but I prefer american chinese food to africa chinese food haha. The menus were really cool--they were hardback and not just laminated paper. The place was nice and clean and everything. The food was just different.

Today started off as normal, our hour and a half long Swahili lesson. We learned about a billion more words, and Chris told us we have a quiz tomorrow. Uh oh. Then, Connie came over and we went to a Chinese restaurant, then shopping. We went to little independent shops set up outside of supermarkets, or on the sides of the road. We came home after that, and David Kigwa made us a list of words that he wants to help us learn in Swahili, in addition to our lessons. Like sun, tree, bird, house, stuff like that. They all seem very eager to help us learn. After we got home, we've just been kind of hanging out, laughing at Grandma, and watching pirated copies of Criminal Minds. Today was not a very eventful day, so I apologize the the blandness of this entry.
